Meet Our Leaders

Kilimanjaro Wonders Sports Center Team

Kilimanjaro Wonders

Laurent Kinabo - Executive Director, Coaching Director

  • Born and raised in Moshi, Tanzania, near Mt. Kilimanjaro
  • Experienced soccer player, youth coach and trainer
  • Holds Tanzania Youth Football Licenses

Licensed Sports Center

  • Established and licensed in August 2022
  • KWSC was established to train boys and girls in soccer, other sports and life
  • Launched our KWSC Senior Boys' Team in September 2022 
  • Began English classes to improve language skills (with sports-focus) in November 2022 
  • Launched  a U17 Middle Boys' Team and U15 Junior Boys Team in December 2022
  • Launched our first Girls' Team (ages 10-16) in January 2023

KWSC Goals

  • KWSC has been established as a Soccer and Sports Center focused on training young players in a challenging and competitive environment
  • We teach skills to our youth to help them reach their potential as individuals and as competitive squads
  • We are guiding youth to achieve their goals in sports and life    


Richard - Coach

 Richard is our newest board member.  As an avid soccer fan and a long-time player, Richard works with our boys and girls as a volunteer coach.   

Katelyn Skinner - Social Media Director

Katelyn is a junior at Butler University  majoring in Art + Design and Sports Media. As a member of Butler's track team,she focuses on short sprints. Katelyn previously with the NC Fusion social media team.

Jeffrey Skinner - President

Jeffrey is a partner at Kilpatrick Tonwsend.where he leads the law firm's Investment Management Team. In July 2022, he launched Go Youth! Tanzania as a NC non-profit.  Shortly thereafter, he and Laurent Kinablo founded Kiilimanjaro Wonders as a youth sports center focused on soccer.  The organizations work together to provide underprivileged kids in Moshi, Tanzania opportunities to play competitve sports.   

Scott Wollaston - Director

 Scott has been involved with youth sports his whole life. He began as a youth soccer player, ultimately playing at Elon University.  He later became a youth coach and academy director at Twin City Soccer. Today Scott leads NC Fusion, a youth sports club based in Greensboro and Winston-Salem that serves over 8,000 youth playing  recreational and competitive soccer.

Lauren Emanuel - Treasurer, Secretary, Director

 Lauren is an attorney with Kilpatrick Townsend, where she is amember of the firm's Investment Management team.  Lauren played youth soccer on travel teams through high school.   

Justin Baily - Director

 Justin is a VP on the Strategy team at Bellomy, a full-service market research company based in Winston Salem. A lifelong soccer enthusiast, he brings a deep passion for the game to our mission. Justin has coached his daughter’s youth soccer team, officiated youth matches, and played at the collegiate level for Pfeiffer University.
